I am 33 years old and mother of three, all breast fed. I am 5’3” and weigh 105 lbs. I was a small A and wanted to be a B or a C. I met with two doctors prior to meeting with Dr. Franklin and I was told that I would do well with 300 cc’s as this was the lowest size the doctors routinely used. I was very concerned about ending up with larger breast than I wanted. When I met with doctor Franklin he measured me and told me that to achieve my desired result I could handle a 240 cc moderate implant or a 260 cc high profile implant. He assured me that based on my chest measurements and the implant measurements that I would be a B or small C. At the beginning of 2007 silicone implants were approved and his staff let me know the benefits of choosing silicone over saline. I had almost no breast tissue and I was told that these would feel and look more natural.
I decided on 260 cc, smooth round, silicone implants and scheduled my surgery. I live in Alabama and Dr. Franklin’s staff and The Surgery Center staff made it very easy for me to handle all of my pre-op from my home town. Another advantage of using Dr. Franklin is that he does not use general anesthesia for this procedure. He uses nurse sedation. This method has lower risk and cost associated with it. Also, I was not required to stay in the hospital. I was home before lunch and was up walking around that night. Within 48 hours I only needed pain medication at night and within a few days I was almost completely able to manage the pain with ibuprofen. I was able to pick up my duties as a mother after a weekend of rest and now feel back to “normal”.
I am two plus weeks post surgery and I have the exact result I had hoped for. I am a 32 B/C. I would recommend Dr. Franklin to any woman wanting a breast augmentation. At my consultation he listened to what I wanted and assured me that he would give me exactly that. Also, his staff was always patient and understanding in answering my MANY questions. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner.
